Around the Pond: 5000 km on the North Sea Cycle Route

The day begins rainy. Still, I pack my bike and hit the road. Around noon, the sun comes out, and it gets warm.

I make a break in Portsoy to buy lunch and dinner. I don't feel fit today, and my motivation is low. The map shows a camping site in Portsoy. I like the town, and I need to dry my stuff, so I decide to stay here for tonight.

The camping site is located directly at the beach. It is still very early, the reception isn't open yet. I get told to pitch my tent and come back later to check in. I set up my tent and spread my damp clothes in the sun to dry.

Right next to the camping site is an interesting old graveyard. A bit further down the road is the port of Portsoy. It is low tide, and the quay walls look like parts of a sunken fortress.
