In the morning I go to the reception to buy a shower token. The owner gives me one, but won't accept any money for it.
After the usual morning routine - taking a shower, putting the garbage in the bin, filling the water bottles, packing up everything - I make a final stop at the reception to pay. No luck - he still doesn't want any money. A great welcome in Norway! :-)
The weather is sunny again. The area is getting more and more hilly. The route goes through coastal forests, small towns and public beaches, later a bit more inland, through farmland. I'm still not used to the hills, riding is rather strenuous. Maybe I have accumulated too much luggage.
A few kilometers before Sandefjord I take a short break at the "Kongshaugen", where the Gokstad Longship has been found.
As I arrive in Sandefjord it is already afternoon. Here I see the ferry from Strömstad in Sweden, where I have been a few days ago. A few kilometer behind Sandefjord I find a nice camping site on the peninsula of Granholmen. I decide that it a bit too warm to continue, and to stay here for the night. I find a nice shady spot under some trees.
Shortly after me a group of scottish cyclist arrive and pitch their tents nearby. They have been on a week long tour to Kristiansand, and have just returned by bus.
