My first day of travel in Sweden. The signing of the cycle routes is generally good, only once a sign is missing at a vital place, and I follow the wrong route, which I only discover 6 kilometers down the road.
The NSCR, following the "Ginstleden Cyclespåret" (whatever that means), uses nice tarmac cycle paths along the coast, without any serious hills. Just east of Kungsbacka the signs lead me down a path crossing a golf course, then ending in a dead end. I have to track back and drive around the golf course.
One of my co-workers has sent me an email telling me about a mall in Kungsbacka with a shop advertising sleeping pads. I still have to sleep on a deflated sleeping pad since my second night of the trip. In Kungsbacka I make a detour to the mall, and find the shop. The sell several kinds of sleeping pads, none of them really good. I buy the best they have, but I'm not really happy with it.
I follow the coast up to Göteborg (Gothenburg) and find a nice camping site in the suburb Askim. This is a large site, the first one on this journey with lots of tents. The washrooms are modern and clean, they have a small shop, and just outside two fast food places selling pizza and Thai food.
