This is a travelogue of my bicycle trip of most of the North Sea Cycle Route.
The North Sea Cycle Route is a 6000 km long cycle route through Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Scotland, England, Belgium and the Netherlands. You can find the link to its official web site in my Links page.
I set out to complete the entire 6000 km in June to August 2008. Though I only managed 5000 km in this time it was a great experience. While under way I published a travel blog in german (link also on my link page). This site contains the english version, with more pictures and maps.
I made a single page for each of the 93 days of my journey - even for days where nothing much happened. Each page has a link to the previous and following day. You can start with the Tour Overview or pick a travel day from the menu at the top of the page.
The maps on each travel page show a track I recorded on my GPS during the trip. The mape are regular google maps, which means you can zoom in, switch to satellite mode etc. The mas on the oages of rest days generally show only the are where I staid.
I made the trip because I love traveling, I love cycling, and I needed a long time out from my job.
